Jackass: The Movie ReviewJust went out and bought the CD today (along with bonus DVD) and frankly, it rocks. The CD has a nice mix of tunes, ranging from CKY, to Slayer, to the Smut Peddlers to even a little diddy by Roger Alan Wade called 'If You're Gonna Be Dumb'
Jackass is low brow humor...but so what? If you don't like it, then don't go see it. Simple as that. Don't sit around and whine and complain about how stupid it is. I enjoy it. It's funny. It's the bomb diggity and so is the soundtrack.
The DVD is pretty cool too, containing both trailers, a bunch of short previews for the movie (why is it that Ryan Dunn has all of the really bad stuff happen to him?), as well as a special Party Boy video, a CKY music video and the video for Andrew WK's 'She is Beautiful'
I once read a review of the Jackass movie in which someone summed the movie up like this....
"Undeniably, this is terribly crude material, and could very well signal the end of humanity as we know it. But it's funny, in that classic `watch man fall down and go boom' way that's been apart of cinema ever since Laurel met Hardy. You want substance? That's what art-houses are for. `Jackass' is just a rollicking good time for those prepared for what they are about to embark on."
So all in all, buy the CD and let it hold you when you're not watching the movie. Go now. I'm serious. Go buy it before I tell your Mom. She'll be real mad. She can get like that.
