Humming Moon Drip ReviewThis album lands somewhere between avantgarde and jazz and world music. A bongo, congas etc. drum-psych collage with minimal extra instrumentation and/or vocals. These repetetive and insisting bongos and congas end being the actual melodies of the tracks.In some ways this sound has a Mahjongg feel in the sound of the drums and the drum collage sounds, although this don't explode into the kind of future funk or space trance that Mahjongg will blast out. This is more laid back, groovy and almost jazz at some points.
Overall an original experience and sound that perhaps will drive some away as its almost only drum instrumentation might seem way off, even though it's not. An experience and in deed an album that deserves a spot in your music collection if you're at all interested in music that's trying to push the sounds and ways of music.
