Love of Life ReviewI happened upon Watashi Wa while at a show in Hollywood a few months back. I'd never heard of them and had no idea what to expect. When they took the stage, I was blown away. These kids were playing with passion. With heart and soul. *And there were only thirteen people in the audience.*
It takes guts to get up infront of a crowd that small and play that well. It takes guts to sing songs about Christ without succumbing to the typical "hardcore" sound that many Christian scene bands perpetuate. It takes guts to be amazing in the face of indifference.
And Watashi Wa certainly does all of this. This album, "Love of Life," surpasses anything you could possibly be thinking about it. Buy it. Embrace it. If you think the guitar is awesome on the record, just wait until you hear it live. Luke Page is unrivaled by anyone in this scene, and that is no joke. The kid *truly* knows how to play guitar. Not to mention the fact that the vocals are done by a guy who actually knows how to sing (choir, anyone?)
