East River Drive ReviewI had bought this recording in 1993 when it was first released. I had been searching for this on CD and finally found it in a used rack at a local music store. One man's loss is another man's gain! What a treasure this CD is. I had forgotten what a great recording this is. Clarke blows you away from the first baseline on the first track, Justice's Groove (The theme from the movie "Poetic Justice")and takes you on a smooth Jazz ride through all 12 tracks. If you don't already know it, you'll see playing this CD why Clarke is one of the best bass players in the world. With help from old friend George Duke, Jon Luc Ponty and other jazz greats this CD is a must have for Clarke fans and jazz fans a like. Check this Clarke treasure out.East River Drive Overview
