Get Nice (Collectors Edition 3-D Cover) ReviewZebrahead, in the same musical vein as Goldfinger, SR-71, The Offspring, and Lit, has been putting out some great work for at least the last decade or more. They are the most consistant of the bands listed, and if just for that reason alone, makes "Get Nice" a historic effort. As these pop/punk/skate bands are falling by the wayside, or changing their sound (think Blink-182), Zebrahead has maintained the same quality, and refined their signature music. The rap/rock verses...the singalong choruses....and, their signature blueprint, equally crafted bridges and pre-choruses that could be used to anchor individual songs of their own.
On "Get Nice", you'll think the best songs are front-loaded to open the cd, but you'll quickly realize that the entire 14 song album is as good from beginning to end...no duds....no filler. And each one is different enough to make each song unique. This is BY FAR the best work they have ever released. My previous favorite, "Playmate Of The Year", still has, in my opinion, their best song ("What's Going On"), but "Get Nice" slam-dunks all previous work for consistancy. Everythng sounds fresh, but still comfortable. You'll still hear traces of bands like "The Offspring" (but sounding like the old songs, before everything was a joke). And if you like Linkin Park's latest cd "1000 Suns"..you've got to check out the verses on "Kiss Your Ass Goodbye". If you've ever like any previous Zebrahead album, you have got to get this.
